Review of Mathematical Software in WWW,
especially for pupils and teachers.
This review is one of teaching aids at How to use these www pages.
The Latvian Education Informatization System.
There are systematized collection of packages (at this time - near 200) containing programs and other mathematics' related materials and could be useful for pupils and teachers for teaching and selflearning. There are also brief and long reviews of these packages (in Latvian only) with some screenshots.
All programs are provided for IBM PC compatible computers.
If YOU know any good / nice package which is not listed here
(all file names in alphabetical ordering you can find in the List of all files) and which you think is useful for the learning / teaching of mathematics, be kind and, please, inform me; mail me file name and, if possible, WWW address and short review of this package to firstname.lastname@example.org !
So you can help to Latvian people:)

From that page it is also possible to download the package (click on "Ņemt") and to see links to other sites which have additional information on the packages (click on "URL"). Most of those linked pages are in English.
It's possible to find some intereseting software even if you don't know Latvian.
In WWW addresses you can find also some other general addresses where you can find interesting software yourself. Review of those addresses are in Latvian.
My subjective rating scale for packages
||If no asterisk,
there is nothing good.
||One function, not very interesting, not of great value or very seldom usable.
||Bad interface, but could be useful for someone; or something probably very good but too complicated for pupils.
|* * *
||Good, probably interesting, but could be better.
|* * * *
||This can be enough good if you don't know some better ones.
|* * * * *
||This could be very good for you if you are interested in this kind of product.
|* * * * * *
||Wonderful! See it even it isn't necessary for you to use it. However, it contain some bugs or it miss some features to be perfect, too.
|* * * * * * *
||It could be your dream product!
