The Online World resources handbook

Hint for Internet Explorer
and Netscape users

As a registered reader of The Online World resources handbook, you can speed up your online trips considerably by having the hypertext chapters in a directory on your hard disk. We will send it to you on diskette (every second month).

Getting ready

When you receive the pages, save them in a directory on your harddisk. Any directory will do, for example, C:\TOW.
Start Netscape. click on File, and then Open File... Enter the location of the handbook's index file. This file is called index.htm.
Example: If you have this file in C:\TOW, just enter

   C:\TOW\INDEX.HTM

Click on OK, and the index will be loaded and appear on your screen. Click on Bookmarks, and Add Bookmarks, to have it referenced for future use.
Simple, and above all: FAST!

Upgrading

When you receive upgrade diskettes, just save the files thus overwriting the old version. That's all.

Enjoy!
